Ameela® Polynucleotides

Bringing Ameela® Polynucleotides to Leamington Spa

Dr Matt has received direct certification from Ameela® for advanced injection techniques using cannulas, rather than needles, to minimise side effects.

Polynucleotides are one of the most innovative and exciting new treatments on the market. Thanks to their biostimulation properties, they are able to regenerate your skin from within after just a few treatments.

Are you noticing more fine lines and wrinkles, hollowing and shadowing under your eyes? Is your skin looking dull, tired or do you have large pores? Do you have acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation or scarring?

I can help in our popular and professional clinic in Royal Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, known as the Heart of England and Shakespeare Country.

How does Ameela differ from Profhilo? Which is better?

Ameela® is a polynucleotide bio-stimulant rather than a hyaluronic acid like Profhilo®.  That’s not to say one is any better than the other, rather they are of a different composition, and have some different outcomes. Ameela® is recommended for tightening saggy and dehydrated skin, whereas Profhilo® is a ‘super hydrator’.  To reap the benefits of both treatments, why not try a Profhilo® treatment to hydrate and regenerate the skin, followed by Ameela® to tighten and tone 2-3 weeks later? The ultimate in non-invasive facial bio-remodelling with incredible looking results.

What areas can be treated with Ameela®?

There are 3 different treatment types:

Ameela® Eyes is an alternative to tear-trough filler, and treats eyebags and dark circles, periocular wrinkles, dehydrated skin and poor circulation.  Ameela® Eyes is safe for all skin types.

Ameela® Rejeuvenation improves skin tone and elasticity, and reduces wrinkles and fine lines on the face, neck, hair, hands and décolleté.

Ameela® Face treats specific areas of the face and improves skin tone and elasticity, reduces wrinkles and fine lines.

Because Ameela® promotes stem cell growth, it even gives a health boost aiding hair growth in patchy beards or those undergoing hair transplants. Ameela® can also be used as  supplementary procedure to thicken brows for aesthetic purposes.

Polynucleotides are like tiny Lego blocks that make up our DNA and RNA, which are regarded as the instruction manuals for living things. They carry important information that tells our cells how to work and grow! Polynucleotides have been used successfully in medicine for burns and wound healing since the 1970s, but they’re now getting attention in the aesthetic world. The polynucleotides we use are derived from highly purified and sterilised DNA from fish. When they’re injected into our skin, they regenerate damaged and aged skin cells to enhance skin quality.

Before you undergo treatment, we will cleanse the skin. We will then apply a numbing cream to reduce discomfort before administering multiple injections or use a cannula across the treatment area. A series of three treatments, two to three weeks apart is recommended for best results. They can be used anywhere on the face, under the eyes, on the neck, décolletage, hands, arms and knees.

Absolutely! Polynucleotides are a perfect treatment to have alongside other procedures such as dermal fillers, lasers, chemical peels, radiofrequency and surgery. They’re widely known for their ‘skin priming’ effect, so help prepare your skin for other treatments and make it more receptive to great results. If used after other treatments, they can enhance results.

Everyone ages at a different rate, so the length of time results last varies from person to person. Generally, you can expect your results from polynucleotide treatment to last between six and nine months.

Polynucleotides have an excellent safety profile. As with any injection, you can expect your skin to look quite swollen and red afterwards, but this calms after a few hours. You may experience pin-prick bleeding and some itchiness, but it is important to avoid touching the treated area for at least 12 hours. Some bruising may also occur and, if the treatment is under the eye, the swelling may take up to two to three days to fully resolve.

They don’t because they do not replace deep volume loss however, by improving the skin quality especially under the eye area, you will need less dermal filler to achieve desired results.

Go ahead and book a consultation during which you will have a full assessment where we will discuss your individual concerns and areas you are looking to address. We treat everyone as the true individual you are and will create a bespoke treatment package you are happy with.
