We are all individuals with different faces and different face shapes. As we age, however, there are patterns of ageing changes which occur in the face. We lose volume in the middle of the face and under-eye area, form lines between the nose and mouth, and a set of changes occur which leads to jowling.

The good news is that these changes can be treated effectively without needing facelift surgery with non-surgical techniques! At the hands of an experienced technician, utilising advanced techniques such as a cannula, with just a few milliletres of dermal filler of varying densities and types in the right places at the right volumes can achieve massive benefits. With ageing, the bones and cushions of fat under our skin begin to deteriorate and recess, meaning our faces lose definition and volume. Sagging of skin, lines where there once were no lines, jowling, tiredness/dark circles under the eyes, sunken areas in your upper cheeks/ elsewhere. Whether you have one or more of these signs, book in for a bespoke assessment and individualised treatment package.

The majority of people require no downtime after this procedure and can return to work and normal activities the same or next day.

As this is a tailored treatment there is no one set price. We will discuss your specific needs, and together agree which areas of the face would be best treated to give you the most beneficial outcome.

Results are seen immediately after treatment. Further improvements will be seen over 7 days as the filler integrates and hydrates the surrounding area. Results can typically be expected to last 2-3 years.

Dr. Matt George from Ayu Aesthetics is a qualified General Practitioner (GP) with a background in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has a wealth of experience and respect for the skin and aesthetic detail, and is passionate about helping people look and feel their best.

Dr. George qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor in Surgery at the University of Birmingham, England in 2007. He worked in the QEHB, the main trauma centre in the UK, and found it especially rewarding working with and treating children at Birmingham Children’s Hospital caring for children with burns, as well as children with congenital birth defects such as cleft lips and palates.

After this, he gained a further qualification as a GP and also has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine. In his spare time, he has also studied and developed an appreciation for Ayuverdic medicine, an ancient Indian approach to medicine which concentrates on diet and its healing properties.

Dr. George is dedicated to practising in a holistic manner, speaking to and treating people as the complex synergy of all the life experiences that has brought them to this specific day in their lives. He is delighted to merge together his skills in aesthetics with his passion of helping people look and so feel better at AYU aesthetics.

AYU is the Sanskrit word for life; and how we think, feel and therefore behave is what directs our lives. Dr. George’s signature approach is to use light-handed techniques to achieve results which are undetectable and natural yet elegant. Enhancing natural beauty is his main ethos.

				I found the clinic well located for parking and clean and welcoming upon arrival. I was given plenty of time to talk through my concerns and the possible solutions. My treatment was carried out sympathetically to my fears. I'm terrified of most treatments, but my vanity and Dr George's patience won through. I can comment on the results in a couple of weeks, but have no reason to think they won't be good. I have a follow up appointment to ensure all is well.

				I had few procedures done at a different clinic and the experience was far from satisfactory. As such, I was a bit anxious about the procedure, however, I instantly was put at ease by Dr Matt's experience and knowledge. 				I came to see Dr Matt after trying several other places. I had also tried another procedure, which didn't work and was rather traumatic. It suffices to say I was equally scared and dubious when I arrived for my appointment.  I shouldn't have worried as I instantly was put at ease by Dr Matt's experience and knowledge. He answered all of my questions and was very candid about what to expect. His honesty was incredibly refreshing.  The treatment was quick and relatively painless, and the results are extraordinary!
